Everyday Elegance

Since I haven't worked in the office since...well, ever (not in a formal one anyway), I feel like sometimes I miss out on the opportunity to rock a tailored suit, pencil skirt or even just a smart shirt. Sure thing, trousers seem to dominate my wardrobe, and like I've mentioned in some of my earlier posts, I prefer them to denim. However, I always tend to pair them up with a casual T and a biker jacket, very far from your office dress-code...

That is why the other day I have felt the sudden urge to dress up all office-like and take this opportunity to show all of the office working girls that you can go far beyond the usual black skirt and blazer combo. Firstly, lets mention that navy, might be considered an older lady's colour by some, is in fact an amazing alternative to black. It instantly adds character to your look and is just much more suitable for Spring/Summer. If you change up your regular shirt for something like this number from Zara, you will be right on trend with the flared sleeves and vertical stripes, and don't forget to add a statement accessory, like a small scarf or a chunky necklace. Last but not least, come the shoes. If you are in the office all day, you need to make sure that the shoe is comfortable and practical. Well, we are all in luck as the round toe are making serious comeback. Once again, these Zara mid-heels cuties are a perfect match for my outfit, however if you are looking to up your shoe game, I suggest the Simple Pump by Christian Louboutin in Kid leather. I have recently added this pair to my collection and they are genuinely the comfiest pair I own!
