After two days into the fashion week in Ukraine and out of the shows I have seen (and there has been A LOT already…) Valery Kovalska and Vahan Khachatryan have stood out the most for me. Kovalska focused on classic clean cuts, with a subtle colour pallet and ‘male wardrobe’ inspiration – perfect. Khachatryan was the complete opposite. A little more couture, a lot more detail and a lot more colour. It is clear that he has been inspired by Spanish, maybe even a little of Italian, culture. I did think that his collection had a slight resemblance to the recent works of Dolce & Gabbana, nevertheless his work was flawless.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love scarves. I wanted to wear this new beautiful 140×140 square for the fashion week but it was too hot for my original outfit, so I had to improvise and wear it off the shoulder. I love how it turned out actually! It was light enough for the hot temperatures but at the same time it kept me warm in the breeze. This gorgeous number is from H&M but I received compliments for it like it was Pucci! Just goes to show that it is not necessary to spend a lot of money to look great! Unfortunately the website dulls down the colours dramatically, so I recommend to view some of these pictures on my Instagram too.
