Trick AND Treat

Us ladies always have plenty of tricks up
our sleeves when it comes to our appearance. Whether it’s the latest Mac blush
to make those cheeks more rosy, a little bit of self-tan to maintain an
all-year-around glow or a pair of false lashed to make those eyes stand out for
a show-stopping effect… We know all of the above and plenty more and we
are not afraid to put those tricks into everyday practice.

The most important thing is that the
so-called “tricks”, which actually are nothing but guilty pleasure treats, can be implemented not only into your beauty and make-up
routine but into your wardrobe too.  It
can be anything from wearing your scarf as a top to turning your dress into a jumper (yeah you can do that and I’ll show you how soon!). As long as you let
your imagination step in. So, in this post I want to show you one of my latest
tricks…

Since being able to afford a £7000 Kelly
bag is not a possibility even in my wildest dreams, I’ve decided to experiment
with my Kelly wallet instead. It’s pretty large…Large enough to pass as a
miniature bag, I thought. So I literally did just that! I have turned my wallet
into a small shoulder bag! By using the cheapest golden chain that I could find
on the high street (New Look £5  – not
bad at all), I have tricked my wallet into thinking that it is something
completely different from what it actually is. I was able to wear it on my
shoulder all day, as it easily fits all the necessities of a wallet, like cards
and cash and on top of that I managed to squeeze in my phone, my lipstick AND
my house keys! I can basically say that I’ve treated myself to a new designer handbag without spending a penny, right? (£5 chain doesn’t count!).

I have planned my whole outfit
around this “bag”, and went for neutral colors and classic shapes in order not
to take away attention from my new little creation (hehe). These “mum” jeans
are quickly becoming my favorites, as they are so comfortable.  And those Primark heels are an absolute steal
for £20 – especially considering the fact that I’ve had them for about 100
years and they are still as good as new. The blazer has been getting a few
compliments on Instagram already and it is available to buy from the current
H&M collection.

Let me know what you think of this
experiment and share any tricks that you might have up your sleeve!
