Layering similar colours of different textures always helps to achieve an interesting look. I love how the combination of these beige over the knee boots and mid-lenght dress leaves me with no “flesh” on show, which is ideal, considering the fact that we are still in February. Of course, the boots alone are an incredible statement piece in this outfit, that’s why I paired them up with garments that are not fussy, classic in shape and cut and have no bold patterns or colours ….
The shirt dress is a very simple item that can look slightly outdated sometimes, but not this denim Zara number, as it is right on trend with it’s fringed edges and asymmetric hemline. In order to add a little bit more excitement to the outfit, I layered the dress with this beautiful Cos top, which matches the shoes and contrasts the straight cut of the dress with it’s subtle ruffles. And here you have a light to dark nude/grey-ish pallet, just about enough layers to keep me warm in the last week of winter.
